      Overview

      A busy family of 7 in the Sherwood Forest area of San Francisco, CA, is seeking a part-time, temporary House Manager to relieve them from a backlog of household-related projects. The general schedule will be Monday through Friday with a guarantee of 20 hours per week. The position will be a combination of remote and on-site work as needed. The family has a second residence in Sheep Ranch, CA, which is about 3.5 hours East of San Francisco, that will require on-site attention occasionally. The estimated timeframe for the position is 3 months upon hire, however, there is a possibility of extension if the candidate is a good fit and proves to be an asset to the family.       Responsibilities
      • Vetting, scheduling, overseeing, and liaising with various vendors, including contractors
      • Quality control of workmanship, ensuring the highest standards are met
      • Proactively schedule maintenance
      • Prepare maintenance logs
      • Acquire bids
      • Track expenses
      • Assist with family schedules as requested
      • Household organization
      • Proactively prioritize and execute tasks
      • Update family weekly with a comprehensive report of project status, including projections and estimations, in addition to daily or as-needed check-ins
      • Ad hoc assignments

      • Excellent time management and interpersonal skills
      • Trustworthy, professional, dependable, and discreet
      • Highly organized and works intuitively and collaboratively
      • Ability to pick up where the principals left off
      • Takes direction well and can also work autonomously
      • Comfortable in an active household with children
      • No job is too big or too small mentality
      • Communicative and thoughtful
      • Light footprint when working in the family home
      Requirements
      • General knowledge of construction and maintenance costs
      • 5+ years of experience in a similar role, which included overseeing construction projects
      • Ability to be on-site at both residences when needed
      • Capable of working remotely and in a productive manner without the need to be micromanaged
      • Ability to use Google docs and other common applications for optimum efficiency
      • Legal to work in the U.S.
      Salary and Benefits

      The family is offering $55 to $65 per hour, depending on experience.
