      The Academic Advisor for Professional, Continuing, and Extended Education nurtures lifelong learning by providing critical support services, coaching, and advising for Professional, Continuing, and Extended Education (PCE) learners. This position provides engagement, coaching, and advising services for diverse populations of PCE learners, with particular focus on prospective learners and certain special populations as assigned. This role also provides administrative, operational, and program support to advance PCE student services efforts in areas of advising systems, customer relationship management (CRM), communications, staff training, and university advising alignment.

      Education and Experience

      Required: Bachelors degree or equivalent experience. 2-4 years of experience in higher education student services and operations which includes admissions counseling and operations and academic advising services and operations. Experience working effectively with diverse populations. Practical knowledge and experience with maintaining student admissions and enrollment data in student information software systems. Practical knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

      Desired: Practical knowledge and experience with solving student academic a mission and enrollment issues. Experience in collaborating across team or organization for developing and implementing solutions for improving student experience and student success. Practical knowledge and experience with Qualtrics, PeopleSoft Student Information System, and Salesforce Customer Relationship Management. Knowledge of Ohio State undergraduate admissions processes and advising resources and tools.
