- Advise Eller students on academic requirements and procedures associated with all phases of the Eller programs, both on Main Campus and the Online Campus, across BSBA, BA, and BS degree programs.
- Participate in orientation programs to ensure incoming students receive necessary and relevant information for their program.
- Evaluate course petitions and amendments to student’s program of study, monitor academic progress, maintain student files and records, and evaluate transfer transcripts for course equivalencies.
- Develop and deliver programs or processes that benefit the Eller student population; and assess and communicate outcomes to department and college leadership.
- Lead presentations, workshops, and/or courses which support recruitment, retention, and degree completion efforts.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- General knowledge and use of principles, theories and concepts. Is competent in all job functions and has general understanding of the industry practices, techniques and standards.
- Strong communication skills – both verbal and written.
- Creative problem-solving skills.
- Strong spreadsheet and database skills.
- A demonstrated ability to take the initiative to handle multiple tasks with attention to detail and the ability to perform in a rapidly changing environment.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Previous experience providing academic advising to students pursuing a BSBA or BA through the Eller College of Management.
- Project management experience related to student programming.
- Familiarity with eSMS, UAccess Students, and Microsoft platforms.

Academic Advisors II in the Eller College of Management’s Undergraduate Programs Office serve Eller students through academic advising, teaching, and overseeing programs that contribute to the recruitment, retention, and degree completion of undergraduate students in the Eller College. They are responsible for taking the initiative in proactively assisting students in evaluating academic abilities, setting goals and objectives, meeting requirements of Eller majors in the all phases of the Eller programs across BSBA, BA, and BS degrees, and exploring experiential learning and career opportunities which align with their major. Academic Advisors II also have programming responsibilities which require the ability to plan and implement programs or processes, while working collaboratively with students, staff, faculty, and department leadership. They will be expected to participate in professional development activities, apply best practices, and demonstrate industry knowledge.
