      Position Summary

      Under general supervision, provides administrative support for faculty appointment and managed care credentialing processes

      Job Responsibilities

      • Maintains academic staff lists for the Office of Faculty Affairs and hospital staff lists for the Medical Staff Office. Develops and maintains a faculty database for attending physicians within the Department.
      • Compiles appointment enrollment packages for candidates, liaises with the Office of Faculty Affairs and Medical Staff Office and follows up to ensure timely submission of paperwork.
      • Coordinates and prepares visa/immigration paperwork. Serves as primary liaison to HR's Immigration Office and/or immigration attorneys. Stays abreast of visitor (B), training (J-1) and work (H1B or O) visas or permanent residency policies and laws.
      • Coordinates the Medicare, Medicaid and Managed Care application process for the credentialing of departmental providers. Ensures completion and resolves issues as they arise. Tracks provider credentialing and participation status.
      • Responsible for procurement activities related to goods, services, and/or equipment as needed.
      • Responsible for disbursement/reimbursement activities as needed.

      Education

      • High School Diploma

    Experience

    Approximately 3 years of related experience, preferably in an academic medical center
