Job Description

- Postgraduate qualifications or progress towards postgraduate qualifications with relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of experience and education/training in Information Management.
- Degree in Library and Information Science with the ability to demonstrate relevant experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training which would allow professional membership of the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA).
- Experience in the delivery of professional research and information services, contemporary knowledge of scholarly resources in all formats, interview techniques, and collection development principles and practices.
- Advanced digital literacy skills and experience in a wide range of electronic resources, systems and software used in a tertiary library environment.
- Experience in developing educational resources and materials using a range of technologies for delivery in an online-first environment.
- Experience in delivering training programs in areas such as information and/or digital literacy and research skills and knowledge and understanding of pedagogical models and best practices in student learning.
- Excellent communication skills with demonstrated ability to engage and collaborate with professional and academic staff and students.

Provide CDU staff and students with information, research, and instructional support.
About the Position
As the Academic and Research Librarian you will deliver a range of services in an online-first environment providing the CDU community with information, research and instructional support aligned to the university’s research, learning and teaching priorities. You will provide leadership and professional advice to ensure staff and students in designated faculties/ discipline areas are supported in the development and maintenance of skills and knowledge required for successful academic endeavours.

Remuneration
Appointment to this role will be at Professional Employee Level 6/7. The base salary will be in the range of $84,931 - $100,594 per annum. The total remuneration package will be in the range of $99,369 - $117,694 per annum, including 17% superannuation.
