Location: Westlake Elementary

Job Type: Part-Time

Schedule: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 8:45 AM - 2:45 PM (Includes a 60-minute unpaid break for lunch)

Position Summary:
Westlake Elementary is seeking a passionate and energetic Part-Time Elementary PE Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing physical education instruction to students in grades 1-5. This role involves facilitating structured games and activities for up to 30 students at a time, promoting physical fitness, teamwork, and healthy lifestyles in a fun and supportive environment.



Key Responsibilities:
? Plan and implement engaging physical education lessons and activities for students in grades
1-5.
? Facilitate structured games and activities that encourage physical fitness, teamwork, and
sportsmanship.
? Adapt activities to accommodate students of varying abilities and ensure the safety and
well-being of all participants.
? Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect, cooperation, and
active participation.
? Manage classroom behavior and maintain discipline in accordance with school policies.
? Collaborate with other teachers and school staff to support overall student development and
well-being.
? Maintain and organize equipment and supplies used during physical education classes.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Graduation from high school or equivalency.

Qualifications:.
? Previous experience teaching or working with elementary-aged children, particularly in a
physical education setting.
? Strong knowledge of physical fitness, sports, and games suitable for elementary students.
? Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
? Ability to create a positive and engaging learning environment.

Physical Requirements:
? Ability to stand, walk, run, and participate in physical activities for extended periods.
? Ability to lift and carry equipment and supplies.
