Our team in Dumfries and Galloway are looking for an Access and Engagement Worker to join them in providing high-quality recovery care to a diverse client group.   Main duties of the job

  As the Access and Engagement Worker, you will act as a first point of contact for clients to ensure that they are able to access appropriate services and treatment efficiently and promptly. You will work as part of the service team and in close partnership with other health care professionals, partner agencies, service commissioners and internal clinical/mental health teams to ensure that clients receive prompt advice and treatment. As Access and Engagement Worker you will improve access to appropriate services for clients with substance misuse issues, developing pathways to ensure the service is as accessible as possible.

  Join us as an Access and Engagement Worker in Dumfries and Galloway.

  As a leading charity supporting people with drug, alcohol, and mental health challenges, we operate over 80 services across England and Scotland, providing free and confidential support to more than 100,000 people each year.

  The closing date for applications is 23rd July 2025. This advert may close early should sufficient applications be received. As such candidates are required to hold the right to work in the UK for the duration of the contract you are applying for.

  About the Role

  You will strive to work collaboratively with partners and communities, ensuring that we are as accessible as possible and that the principles of a Recovery Oriented System of Care and true person centred practice are at the heart of all that we do. An SVQ Level 3 in Social Services and Health care and registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) is essential for this post.

  This is a full time, permanent position with a salary of £25,517 per annum. Some evening and weekend work may be required as part of the role.
