      Position Overview

      The Access Control Operator supports the Global Corporate Security team by working to ensure the physical security of workers, customers, and facilities by implementing access control policies and protocols for the corporation. Operators assign access based on established protocols and maintain access control permissions, issues access badges, and assist with policies, procedures, audits, and special projects related to access control. The Access Control Operator also supports the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) Partners in monitoring alarms, worker and visitor entry, and CCTV.

      Essential Duties

      Include, but are not limited to, the following:

      • Work closely with other Global Security team leaders and the GSOC to provide security and safety for personnel, property, facilities, and assets.
      • Support the Manager, Global Security Systems and Security Systems Administrators in the development and implementation of access control policies, procedures, and protocols that comply with industry, regulatory, and company standards.
      • Assist in the training and development of the GSOC Partners and Security Partners related to access control and CCTV systems.
      • Track security and access related metrics for departmental analysis and record keeping.
      • Monitor daily access activities for all facilities globally.
      • Assign access rights based on established protocol; configure schedules, holidays, time codes, alarm routing, and other functions. Train other employees as needed.
      • Issue badges and accounts for all access badges issued daily and assist with the deactivation of lost or stolen badges.
      • Program badges and verifies security clearances for proper access control into the facility.
      • Monitor security cameras, alarms, and door readers for suspicious activities.
      • Provide front desk support as necessary to ensure proper access control to the facilities.
      • Maintain access control of all entrances, exits and internal doors.
      • Take the lead in identifying and resolving issues with access control software and hardware by working with vendors and internal business partners to update and troubleshoot software, and escalating issues as needed.
      • Complete applicable reports to include incident reports and security logs.

      • Ability to be on-call on a rotating basis, be available via phone and are subject to call-in to support departmental security operations, if needed.
      • Ability to work on a mobile device, tablet, or in front of a computer screen and/or perform typing for approximately 90% of a typical working day.
      • Ability to work on a computer and phone simultaneously.
      • Ability to use a telephone through a headset.
      • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds for approximately 5% of a typical working day.
      • Ability to travel 25% of working time between Madison locations.
      • You will be required to successfully complete an assessment showing understanding of Exact Sciences Epic processes necessary to the job functions with a score of 80% or higher.       Minimum Qualifications

      • Associates Degree or High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and 2 years of relevant experience as outlined in the essential duties in lieu of an Associates Degree.
      • 3+ years of security, law enforcement, administrative or related experience.
      • 2+ years’ experience utilizing industry-standard security equipment such as access control and CCTV systems.
      • 2+ years of work experience with record-keeping duties relative to corporate security and public safety applications.
      • 2+ years of work experience in customer service in a private or public safety dispatch environment.
      • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
      • Possession of a valid driver’s license; no suspended, revoked, surrendered, invalid, etc. allowed.
      • No more than two moving violations, events, or accidents within the last 36 months.
      • No alcohol or drug event in which a vehicle was driven by the candidate or employee, including but not limited to Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) failure, refusal to submit to alcohol or drug test, alcohol related suspension, etc. in the last 36 months.
      • No other results from the Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) check that exposes Exact Sciences to what Exact Sciences deems to be an unacceptable level of liability.
      • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, such as Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
      • Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.
      • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

      Preferred Qualifications

      • Experience in a fast-paced business setting with an understanding of how to prioritize work to ensure critical business needs are met.
      • 2+ years of project management experience.
      • Experience utilizing industry-standard security equipment such as access control and CCTV systems, alarms, security incident reports, and dispatch software.
      • Experience in research and analysis and analyzing data.
      • Professional certification from ASIS, SIA, or SANS at any level. Can substitute integrator or advanced user certification in any of the security products used within the Exact Sciences Global Security Team.

      Salary Range:

      $51,000.00 - $81,000.00

      The annual base salary shown is for this position located in US - WI - Madison on a full-time basis. In addition, this position is bonus eligible, and is eligible to receive company stock upon hire as well as annually.
