What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Schedule and coordinate outpatient Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy appointments
- Conduct pre-registration, input/update patient information, and process walk-ins
- Verify insurance coverage and explain benefits to patients
- Ensure adequate stock of supplies and maintain clean waiting areas and equipment
- Collect and post payments, issuing receipts as necessary
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or GED plus two (2) years of customer service or healthcare experience
- Strong communication skills and basic computer proficiency
- Excellent customer service abilities and telephone etiquette
- General knowledge of office machines, including printers and scanners
- Ability to perform all duties of the Access Coordinator I level
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in outpatient therapy or related fields
- Familiarity with hospital scheduling systems and insurance verification processes
- Additional certifications or training related to healthcare administration
