What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Develop and implement strategies to streamline the prior authorization process and manage denials and appeals
- Oversee the end-to-end process of Prior Authorizations and Appeals in compliance with federal regulations
- Analyze documentation for completeness and accuracy, ensuring adherence to payer policies
- Establish and maintain relationships with Specialty Pharmacy partners and internal stakeholders
- Identify and implement process improvements within Patient Services to enhance operational efficiency
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant commercial experience in pharmacy and prescription benefits
- Experience in rare disease or specialty product markets is required
- Strong understanding of commercial and government payers, including Medicaid and Medicare
- Proven expertise in Prior Authorizations and Appeals

- Relevant experience in Specialty Pharmacy and/or biotech/pharma
- Experience in project management and quality system implementation
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make data-driven decisions
- Creative thinking skills with a proactive approach to generating new ideas
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
