Job Description
- Req#: 79171
- Oversees circulation procedures, course reserves and interlibrary loan services.
- Supervises work study students assigned to the Circulation Department.
- Maintains daily building usage statistics.
- Provides general and course-related library research instruction to students and faculty across the academic disciplines at Flagler College.
- Collaborates closely with one or more academic departments to serve as a library liaison and to provide research instruction to students and faculty.
- Participates in field-related academic discourse by attending conferences and workshops on access services in college libraries
- Participates in collection development for both print and electronic resources, recommends additions and deletions, and evaluates new products.
- Assists with administering the library services platform (FOLIO) and makes changes to values, parameters, and system preferences, including circulation rules and loading new users.
- Participates in Proctor Library’s “Everything Speaks” initiative.
- Preforms other college-related duties as may be required by the Director of Library Services.
- Presents professional and friendly demeanor and physical appearance at all times.
- Develops professional relationships with library colleagues, fellow staff, faculty and students.
- Master of Library Science or a Master of Information Science from an American Library Association (ALA) accredited institution
