What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Resolve benefit and claims inquiries via telephone from members and providers
- Promote a positive company image through direct contact with customers
- Comply with all laws and regulations associated with duties and responsibilities
- Review and research billing and healthcare claim inquiries to ensure accuracy
- Respond to inquiries regarding adjustments, refunds, and payments to ensure customer satisfaction
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Customer Service experience or equivalent
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1 year of customer service or medical office experience required
- PC skills including Microsoft Office and related software
- Verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interpret information tactfully
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience in a call center is preferred
- Completion of the Medical Assistant, Coding & Insurance Pathway from BRCC
- Certificate in medical office assistant or medical coding
- Familiarity with medical and health insurance terminology
- Conflict resolution skills and ability to remain calm under pressure
