      Purpose Statement

      • To provide support for day to day operations and maintenance of the staff banking portfolio by being a central office-bound contact point for staff service queries/ requests and assisting in the preparation of credit applications and loan documentation, including opening of accounts.

      Experience

      Minimum:

      • Previous general banking experience of at least 1-3 years
      • Experience in a role involving collation and verification of information
      • Experience of working on a management system
      • Experience in frontline customer consulting (in the personal market) and back office account support roles, to understand how to deal with the client as well as to understand how to process credit applications and customer queries.
      • Knowledge and understanding of credit principles and assessments
      • Understanding of different types of income and expenditure
      • General administration/office practices processing credit applications
      • Good knowledge of general banking practices and procedures.
      • Knowledge of Credit principles and practices, including an understanding of credit application, securities and lending criteria.
      • A good working knowledge of the Financial Intelligence Centre Act (FICA).

      Ideal:

      • Experience preferably gained in a business banking environment
      • Experience in a role processing credit applications
      • Understanding of legal entities governing the business environment
      • Knowledge of interpreting and analysing financial balance sheets and ratios pertaining to clients Knowledge and understanding of the features, benefits and value propositions of the respective Capitec product/service offerings.
      • Knowledge of administration processes and procedures pertaining to staff banking transactions.
      • Working knowledge of multi-level products available and pricing structures

      Qualifications (Minimum)

      • National Certificate in Accounting - Financial Accounting or Credit Management

      Qualifications (Ideal or Preferred)

      • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting - Financial Accounting or Credit Management

    Knowledge
