      Provide quality, timely, courteous service, and optimum maintenance of patient accounts, including dissemination of information, billing services, follow-up, and collection of accounts receivable, bad debt, governmental, and contract compliance issues/guidelines.

      Qualifications

      Education:
      Required: High school diploma or equivalent

      Experience:
      Required: Minimum 1 year of experience in healthcare business office, insurance claims processing, physician office billing and/or hospital admitting and PC/CRT

      Preferred: 3 years recent in healthcare business office

      Knowledge and Skills Highly Preferred:
      Basic medical terminology
      Working knowledge of third-party payors, federal, state, and local billing regulations
      Bilingual (English and Spanish)

      Responsibilities

      The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be all inclusive. Other duties may be assigned.

      • Read, understand and adhere to company policies and guidelines
      • Respond to emails in a timely manner and work reports daily
      • Report all coding, denial issues and appeal requests to designated associates or management.
      • Resolve disputed balances.
      • Report any identified billing issues that result in non-collection
      • Exhibit continual adherence to policies and regulations regarding HIPAA and Electronic Patient Health Information (EPHI).
