      How is Cigna’s International Organisations Sales Team organised?

      Cigna International Organisations Health (IOH) is a division within Cigna International Health consisting of three business lines: Intergovernmental Organisations (IGO), Non-Governmental Organisations (NGO) and Governments (GOV). Cigna IOH’s Sales Team has remit over IGO and NGO new business opportunities globally and Government new business opportunities in Europe.

      In this role, as Business Development Manager within the Cigna IOH Sales Team, you will develop and execute the strategy to grow a profitable new business portfolio and achieve significant market share in the IGO market, with a special focus on EU institutions. This is both a challenging and exciting opportunity which requires you to develop a detailed understanding of every aspect of the International Organisations business and work with all functional departments. In this role, you will report directly to the Head of Business Development, IGO.

      What are your main responsibilities?

      • Generate pipeline through market research and market engagement activities to meet sales in line with the growth strategy

      • Manage end-to-end sales process, with a special focus on relationship building and acquisition marketing

      • Develop proactive engagement strategies for your markets and key opportunities, and lead the execution

      • Work on RFP responses, ensuring that they are market leading and crafted to the highest standards

      • Prepare and deliver focused, client-specific presentations for new business

      • Build up and maintain distribution network of strategic partners within the IOH space

      • Act as adviser to prospective clients, consultants and strategic partners on all aspects of their (clients’) insurance requirements

      • Keep abreast of developments in the market both client and competitor-related, contributing to new product development/business initiatives accordingly

      • Partner with internal departments in line with established procedures to generate growth opportunities whilst maintaining a high level of service

      • Participation in key projects as required

      • Accurate data base management of prospective clients and opportunities by means of CRM software (SFDC)

      • Frequent travel in line with business needs

      • Proficiency in English. Knowledge of French is preferred
