- Graduate or currently enrolled student in an Risk Management, Insurance, Business Administration, Business Management or similar program
- 60 or more credit hours complete with an expected graduation date no later than May of 2025
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Word and Excel
- Absolute commitment to teamwork
- Ability to work on-site at 1832 Schuetz Rd. Saint Louis, MO 63146
- Ability to work a full-time schedule (37.5 hours) in summer of 2024
- Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
- Prior work or internship experience
- Fundamental knowledge of insurance industry and risk concepts

This opportunity is in the Account Services Department:
Responsible for seeing policies through to the finish line, our Account Services department facilitates the transactional processes and services between Insurance Underwriting, our Brokers and our Insureds. Ranging from policy administration to premium audits to other operational services, the available career opportunities are abundant with varying levels of specialty. Maintaining a strong network of team leaders, our department’s relationship allows for cross-training opportunities and plenty of collaboration.
Role Description:
As an Account Services Intern, you will be integrated into our teams that facilitate the policy life-cycle. Navigating large and complex commercial insurance policies from submission through issuance is no easy task. Our teams within our Account Services department work closely together to rate, quote, issue, distribute and audit policies, and continue to provide service and support during the life of the policy. They also collaborate with other teams such as, Insurance Underwriting who bind the policies. By helping facilitate this life-cycle, you will play a part in Safety National’s pursuit of our top-line goals.
Your day-to-day responsibilities as an Account Services Intern will include performing various tasks to support Safety National’s prospective and current insureds. Those tasks may include facilitating premium audits, releasing policy documents or collecting and documenting key data and information such as, experience modifications, exposures, loss history, deductibles, limits and coverages.
The coursework you’ve completed will be put to good use as you learn to apply what you’ve studied to real world business processes. Here you will learn to work effectively with others, use your resources and work across an entire enterprise. In this role you will have an opportunity to observe and gain firsthand experience into what is required for a commercial insurance policy to be bound, issued and serviced.
