- You will review and analyze accounting and financial management transactions and/or key supporting documents for compliance with federal and local policies and guidance.
- You will conduct testing of internal controls and quality control reviews for compliancy, improvements, and efficiencies.
- You will compile key supporting documents and submit documentation for formal responses to audit requests.
- You will provide advice and guidance to personnel regarding accounting practices and financial management policies and procedures for which there are established methods for solution.
- You will attend financial management meetings, focus groups, and similar events convened by various DoD and DON authorities.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

- This is a Financial Management Level 01 certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.

Qualifications
This position has a selective placement factor that will be used to screen out ineligible candidates. The selective placement factor is: Ability to analyze accounting and financial management business processes/issues to recommend improvements and solutions for operational inefficiencies, inaccurate data, and noncompliance with regulations based on established standard operating procedures.
In addition to the Selective Placement Factor your resume must demonstrate at least three years of general experience that includes one year of experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-01/04) or pay band (NO-01) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. General experience shows the ability to 1) apply accounting and financial management procedures, regulations and policies; 2) analyze accounting and financial management business processes/issues to recommend improvements; 3) Utilize financial systems to generate key supporting documents; 4) Utilize software repositories; 5) use Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat; and 6) communicate effectively orally and in writing.
