- Records, reviews, monitors, tracks, processes, reconciles, and transmits all financial transactions relative to agency revenues, cash receipts, application fees, and consent orders
- Records, reviews, monitors, tracks, processes, reconciles, and transmits all financial transactions relative to agency expenses, accounts payable, contracts, and liabilities as approved for payment in an accurate and timely manner
- Processes bi-weekly payroll, which includes but is not limited to payroll liabilities, taxes, IRS reports, and payments, along with payment of employee benefits to appropriate vendors promptly
- Serves as the LSBN purchasing and travel agent and ensures compliance with DOA purchasing and contracting rules and law.
- Serves as the LSBN travel expert for all LSBN employees and approves travelers
- Assumes other duties as necessary for the smooth and efficient operation of the LSBN to assure public protection.

Overview
This position provides a full range of professional accounting services. Incumbent is responsible for accounts receivable, accounts payable and purchasing functions and ensures agency financial records are maintained in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other Division of Administration guidelines. Incumbent will support the accounting system (QuickBooks) and ensure data accuracy. Incumbent will communicate with external accountants, auditors, banks, investment firms, vendors, contractors, and employees for the purpose of resolving issues and providing information. Incumbent will ensure all financial records are imaged, maintained, and stored in LaserFiche, LSBN’s new records management system.About this position:

Job Duties:
Six years of full-time experience in any field plus twenty-four semester hours in accounting; OR
A bachelor’s degree with twenty-four semester hours in accounting; OR
A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, management, economics, or statistics; OR
An advanced degree in accounting, finance, business administration, management, economics, quantitative methods, or statistics; OR
Possession of a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.
