      Job Description

      We are seeking a dedicated Accountant to assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports. This role involves performing general accounting duties, supporting month-end and year-end closing processes, assisting with accounts payable and receivable functions, conducting financial analysis, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. The Accountant will participate in audits and collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.

      Responsibilities

      • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
      • Perform general accounting duties such as journal entries, account reconciliations, and ledger maintenance.
      • Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
      • Assist with accounts payable and receivable functions.
      • Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support decision-making.
      • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
      • Participate in audits and provide necessary documentation.
      • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.
      • Complete journal entries and prepare account reconciliations.
      • Review general ledger and subledger activity.
      • Draft commentary for monthly, quarterly, and yearly variances.
      • Ensure balances are logical and accurate.

      Essential Skills

      • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
      • Understanding of accounting principles and practices.
      • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
      • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
      • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
      • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

      Work Environment

      The team reports to Accounting Managers under the Controllers lead. This position offers the opportunity to grow within a large, expanding company. Accountants are assigned specific general ledger accounts and are responsible for ensuring the accuracy and logic of balances.

      Pay and Benefits

      The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
