- Review invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment.
- Act as liaison between corporate and field; including researching issues prior to payment.
- Code invoices in accounting system working with markets where additional information is required.
- Answer all vendor and market inquiries.
- Maintain and compile all accounts payable reports, spreadsheets, and files.
- Prepare analysis of accounts, as required.
- Assist in monthly closings by posting all invoices received by the last day of the month.
- Prepare analysis of accounts to assist vendors in reconciling our records and theirs, as required.
- Identify and correct potential opportunities to minimize expenses.
- Distribute signed checks; assemble and process overnight shipments to branches and vendors.
- Resolve collection issues and follow up with various properties on outstanding security deposits.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and full-cycle accounting.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPS.
- Proficient with QuickBooks Online.
- Experience in expense reporting.
- Experience in credit card reconciliations and tracking.
- Experience in bank reconciliations.
- Experience in journal entries, purchase orders, reconciliation, and month-end processes.
- Time tracking experience.
- Experience using procurement software.
- Degree in accounting or related field (experience will be considered in lieu of education).
- Experience reviewing contracts and preparing invoices for project managers.

Work Environment
Most of the accounting and finance work is done remotely, but the candidate needs to be located in Colorado and work in Mountain Standard Time (MST). The office is located in Boulder, and occasional in-office presence may be required for training or company meetings. The team currently consists of three members, and this position will be the fourth addition, reporting directly to the CFO. This smaller group provides significant insight into the company's financials and plans.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $33.65 - $38.46/hr.
