      Nestlé Senegal is currently looking for an Accountant to ensure effective accounting operations according to the Nestlé and local accounting / fiscal standards.

      Responsibilities:

      • Manage accounting controls, perform systematic reconciliations of sub ledgers/general ledger (Fixed Assets, Stock, Account receivables, Account Payables, Bank recon., GRIR) and NRT
      • Fixed Asset accounting: Validation of calculation & booking of depreciation, ensure that related processes are in line with the latest NAS and local requirements (depreciation rate set-up, asset categories, FA inventory)
      • Taxes: calculation, documents filling, reconciliation with financial (monthly and quarterly)
      • Maintain the financial and administrative structures in accordance with local Accounting Standards (SYSCOHADA) and Nestlé Accounting Standards, ensure that the organization in compliant with these standards and the accounting system and procedures are updated accordingly (Alternative Chart of Accounts)
      • Supervision of Monthly Period End Activities and Analysis of General Ledger Accounts
      • Reviews and justifies all monthly accruals in accordance with NAS before they are posted. Ensures that Balance Sheet Account Reconciliations and Analysis are also reviewed and approved on a timely manner in the NRT.
      • Prepare Statutory Accounts and Annual Corporate Tax Packs including statutory transfer price

      What Will Make You Successful?

      • At least 2 years of experience in similar position
      • Minimum of a Bachelors’ degree in Accounting /Business / Accounting (BAC +3 or equivalent and more)
      • Strong & proven accounting background
      • Communication Skills (French and Proficiency in English is a must)
      • Knowledgeable in Excel, Word, Power point and SAP (added advantage)
      • Experience in an Audit firm is an added advantage
      • Knowledge in the preparation and publication of Syscoada & IFRS Financial Statement.
      • Experience within a network organization (internal and external providers)
      • Local aspects of F&C, tax and legal
      • Knowledge of External and Internal audit practices and guidelines
      • FMCG experience is an added advantage
      • Strong analytical mindset and proactive
      • Result Oriented
