Job Description
- Req#: 303476
- Preparation and processing of month end reporting up to the trial balance stage.
- Processing of accruals, prepayments and subsequent journals.
- Overseeing or assisting with the Fixed Assets Register.
- Reconciliations including general Ledger and balance Sheet.
- Processing foreign currency Payments (if applicable).
- Managing inter-company transactions (if applicable).
- Assisting with the preparation of budgeting and forecasting reports.
- Involvement in the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Payroll may be required.
- Other ad hoc accounting duties to support the broader team.
- Managing day-to-day transactions.
- 3-5 years’ experience accounting skills as a minimum accompanied by a tertiary qualification.
- Ability to work within strict deadlines and reporting time tables
- Prioritisation and organisational skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a wider team
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Able to show initiative and be a self-starter
- Intermediate computer software skills, including Excel (vlook ups and pivot tables) and Accounting packages
- Business Degree, with a major in Finance or Accounting
- Studying towards CPA / CA

ResponsibilitiesWhat we’re looking for
We are looking for an Accountant to join our dynamic team. The role is physically located at Epping Rice Plant and will be reporting to the Unit Manager. The role is responsible for all or some financial procedures connected with one operating unit including the preparation of accounts, financial planning and budgeting, reporting of budget variances, cost control and cost analysis programmes.
