      Job Description:

      Need an individual with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, interested in working in a casual work environment, with excellent State benefits and job growth potential.

      ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES: This position is responsible for recording agency revenues received through the State Treasurer's Office managed bank accounts, billed to other Agencies and between divisions within NGPC, always ensuring proper agency funds and revenue accounts are credited; analyzing, reconciling and recording various credit card payments from online sources into the state accounting system. Additionally, this position prepares and files monthly, quarterly and annual tax reports for Nebraska Sales Tax, Nebraska Lodging Tax, Litter Fees, etc. An analysis of various revenue accounts is conducted to verify an accurate recording of revenues from Park and Office locations across the State. Overnight travel may be required.


      Requirements / Qualifications:
      Minimum Qualifications: Post high school coursework or vocational education in accounting, finance, business administration or related field, OR one year experience performing accounting functions, to include analyzing and forecasting financial data.

      Preferred Qualifications: Experience with J.D. Edwards EnterpriseOne (El) and MS Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel). Experience with State of Nebraska Revenue Tax policies.

      Other: Regular and reliable attendance


      REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES: This position not only requires technical skills, but also involves effectively communicating accounting procedures to NGPC staff and other state agency personnel whenever inquiries arise, ensuring clarity and compliance in our financial processes. Knowledge of advanced accounting principles, policies, guidelines and office procedures. Ability to communicate effectively with co­ workers to exchange information and ideas; apply agency guidelines and policies to financial transactions; compute and compile financial data involving the use of addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages; operate personal computer, printer, copier, calculator, and telephone and lift and move up to 35- pound containers.
