- General Ledger analysis
- Accumulates and analyzes information for the preparation of financial statements, ledgers and reports
- Daily, monthly, and yearly reconciliations and journal entries
- Verifies accuracy and makes recommendations for corrections
- Ensures the compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley, GAAP and FASB
- 1-2 years of Accounting Experience
- 1+ years of mortgage experience
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting
- Advanced level knowledge of Excel including Pivot Tables & V-Lookups
- Strong sense of urgency in meeting deadlines
- This role requires onsite attendance

The Accountant I will be responsible for computing, preparing, and reviewing general ledger accounts, journal entries and various spreadsheets. Responsibilities will include maintaining the financial documents with company accounts such as accounts payable and receivable. This person would work on Month End transactions provide support for the computing and preparing of data for journal entries and general ledger. Responsibilities also include confirming VA payment of appraisals, and principal reductions.
