      Concord Music Publishing owns or administers 1 million copyrighted musical works. Spanning nearly two centuries of song, through a vast array of genres and territories, Concord represents the world’s most celebrated songwriters, composers and lyricists.

      As the Accountant, Publishing you'll be responsible for assisting the Director, with month-end close process which includes, but is not limited to, journal entry preparation, general ledger account reconciliations, etc. Works under moderate supervision.

      Responsibilities

      What you’ll do:

      • Prepare various monthly journal entries
      • Generate assets and monthly depreciation in the fixed assets module
      • Assist with month end close process.
      • Prepare various general ledger reconciliations monthly
      • Reconcile intercompany transactions monthly
      • Use general accounting knowledge to provide insights and analysis
      • Interface with multiple accounting groups to research and resolve variances
      • Assist with projects as needed

      Qualifications

      What you’ll need:

      • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related discipline, or the equivalent combination of education and experience required. Master’s degree in same preferred.
      • Minimum 1-3 years of relevant experience required.
      • Knowledge of GAAP / industry practices required.
      • Excellent general ledger accounting, reconciliation and analytical skills.
      • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications. Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP, pivot tables and SUMIF
      • Outstanding communication and organization skills
      • Ability to handle multiple concurrent projects and deliverables simultaneously.
      • Oracle’s NetSuite experience a plus
      • Detail oriented and strong organizational skills with ability to meet deadlines
      • Experience working in an accounting ERP system

      *This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days minimum on-site.
