  Overview of role

  We are looking for an Accountant to join our team in Luxembourg. In this newly created role, the successful candidate will ensure smooth financial operations by managing the local accounting, supplier cycles and tax returns. You will prepare financial statements, support accounting closures with our central teams and collaborate on innovative projects to enhance our processes. The Luxembourg team currently consists of 12 employees and we are looking to grow this entity in the future.

  Responsibilities

  • Monitoring of local accounting, management of provisions and fixed assets, entry of transactions on internal accounts and reconciliations in compliance with the Group's internal administrative, accounting and financial procedures
  • Supervising supplier and expense account cycles, from data entry to justification of accounts: review of supplier sub-ledger balances and management of supplier debtors
  • Creating financial statements for submission to the local authorities (including regulatory statements) and main point of contact in regards to periodic controls with statutory auditors
  • Managing periodic tax returns
  • Participating in accounting closures in liaison with the Group's central teams: inventory entries, reconciliation of intra-group flows of the Group and related entities
  • Monitoring and control of commissions received
  • Participating in local and cross-functional projects related to accounting activities, aimed at improving flow processing, taking into account specific business requirements (electronic invoicing and accounting migration, amongst others)
  • Contributing to the improvement of accounting procedures

  Experience, Skills and Competencies Required

  • Advanced degree in accounting, finance or a related field
  • At least 5 years of experience as sole accountant or financial manager of a small entity
  • Sound knowledge of local regulations and banking procedures
  • Perfect command of MS Excel and other computer applications
  • Knowledge of SAP is considered a plus
  • Excellent knowledge of French and English, German is considered a plus
  • Distinct organizational and analytical skills with strong attention to detail
  • Dynamic, entrepreneurial mindset and willing to take initiative

  Nous recherchons un(e) comptable pour rejoindre notre équipe au Luxembourg. Dans ce rôle nouvellement créé, le/la candidat(e) retenu(e) assurera le bon déroulement des opérations financières en gérant la comptabilité locale, les cycles des fournisseurs et les déclarations fiscales. Vous préparerez les états financiers, soutiendrez les clôtures comptables avec nos équipes centrales et collaborerez à des projets innovants visant à améliorer nos processus. L'équipe luxembourgeoise se compose actuellement de 12 employés et nous cherchons à développer cette entité dans le futur.

  Principales missions

  • Suivi de la comptabilité bancaire locale, gestion des provisions, des immobilisations, saisie des opérations sur les comptes internes et rapprochements, dans le respect de l'application des procédures administratives, comptables et financières internes au groupe
  • Supervision des cycles fournisseurs et notes de frais depuis la saisie à la justification des comptes : révision des balances auxiliaires fournisseurs, gestion des fournisseurs débiteurs
  • Etablissement des états financiers de l’établissement qui seront communiqués à l’autorité locale (y compris les états réglementaires) et point de contact principal en ce qui concerne les contrôles périodiques avec les auditeurs légaux
  • Gestion des déclarations fiscales périodiques
  • Participation aux clôtures comptables en lien avec les équipes centrale du groupe: écritures d'inventaires, réconciliation des flux intragroupes des entités du groupe et des entités liées
  • Suivi et contrôle des commissions reçues
  • Participation aux projets locaux et transverses liés à l’activité comptable, visant à améliorer le traitement des flux, en tenant compte des spécificités métiers (facturation électronique, migration comptable, entre autres)
  • Contribuer à l'amélioration des procédures du domaine comptable

  Compétences requises

  • Diplôme supérieur en comptabilité, finance ou dans un domaine connexe
  • Au moins 5 ans d'expérience en tant que comptable unique ou responsable financier d'une petite entité
  • Bonne connaissance de la réglementation locale et des procédures bancaires
  • Parfaite maîtrise de MS Excel et d'autres applications informatiques
  • Connaissance du progiciel SAP est considéré un atout
  • Excellente connaissance du français et de l'anglais, l'allemand est un plus
  • Sens aigu de l'organisation et de l'analyse avec un grand souci du détail
  • Dynamisme, esprit d'entreprise et volonté de prendre des initiatives.
