      Job Title: Accountant

      Job Description

      This position involves a comprehensive role in accounting and financial planning, providing vital support to Operations and Plant Managers. The accountant will be responsible for executing data entry during the month-end close process, inputting vendor and customer information, and reconciling accounts. Additionally, the role includes financial planning and analysis, preparing monthly forecasts, and offering strategic guidance to management.

      Responsibilities

      • Perform data entry during month-end close process including A/R, A/P, and other accounting tasks.
      • Input vendor and customer information into location accounting software.
      • Reconcile accounts as needed.
      • Assist with check writing and EFT payments when necessary.
      • Coordinate the company's annual planning and monthly forecasting and reporting processes.
      • Provide daily support and finance recommendations to Operations and Plant Managers.
      • Prepare monthly P&L forecasts for corporate stakeholders.
      • Develop reporting methods for tracking KPIs against budgets and forecasts.
      • Analyze trends and variances for KPIs, including bookings, revenues, costs, and expenses.
      • Support Senior Management and Department Heads in financial decision-making.
      • Assist in implementing a Corporate Performance Management tool.
      • Participate in knowledge-sharing projects across divisions.
      • Contribute to the creation of the Annual Operating Plan.
      • Provide strategic analysis on sales, spending, and labor trends.
      • Prepare and present reports at weekly operations reviews.
      • Create KPIs through a Balanced Scorecard platform for monthly management reviews.

      Work Environment

      The work environment consists of a standard 40-hour week, from 8 AM to 4:30 PM, in-office five days a week. The office is located in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, and the dress code is business casual. The team size is five people.

      Pay and Benefits

      The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $33.00/hr.
