The Role:
This position is a member of the General Accounting Team. This position is responsible for performing the accounting for intercompany transactions, shared services, and various general accounting processes. This position is responsible for SAP master data and SAP Concur Travel & Expense administration, and will work closely with other accounting team members, various business departments, and upper management.
Day to Day:
• Key participant in the month-end general ledger and internal reporting processes, including preparing both journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Responsible for accounting for prepaids, amortizations, intercompany and various ad hoc reclasses.
• Performs accounting for and reporting of activities related to shared services and other intercompany transactions, and prepares annual Affiliated Interest Reports.
• Primary Administrator of SAP Concur for travel and expense management and purchase card program; including monthly accrual and reconciliation.
• Maintain accounting system software (SAP), including master file data, testing and configuration.
• Maintains, and develops as necessary, a standardized set of accounting work papers to provide appropriate support and business process documentation for month end close procedures.
• Completes assigned internal control procedures to ensure timely compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.
• Maintains general ledger and bank reconciliations and provides account analysis.
• Performs accounting research and assists with setting accounting policies.
• Responsible for preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting reports including the FERC Form 2 and other regulatory filings.
• Assists in identifying opportunities to increase efficiency and automation of accounting functions and implementing these initiatives.
• Provides back up to other accounting staff team members as needed.
• Essential in contributing to the achievement of corporate/department and team goals.
• Demonstrates appropriate initiative and decision-making behaviors; maintains technical job knowledge and personal skill development.
• Provides support for both internal and external auditors.
• Supports Company and team goals by assisting internal customers, analyzing financial data, preparing ad hoc reports, and other projects as required.
• Supports the Company’s commitment to a culture of safe work practices.
Come on your first day with:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA certificate preferred.
• Minimum 3-5 years of applied accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Experience with large ERP system (SAP) is desirable.
• Must combine attention to detail with the ability to envision the big picture.
• Demonstrated background in applying analytical/accounting research skills.
• Strong writing skills, including task documentation and report writing.
• Proven ability to meet deadlines, including strong time management and organizational skills.
• PC Skills primarily for word processing, spreadsheet and database applications.
• Ability to facilitate and coordinate projects.
• Proven ability to function in a team environment, provide information and training to users while treating them with respect and dignity.
• Requires outstanding ethical standards and values consistent with those of the Company.

Base salary range: $74,800.00 - $102,650.00 per year, depending on qualifications
Annual Target Incentive: 9.5%
Targets are calculated using eligible earnings during plan year participation. Payout, if earned, is based on company and individual performance for each plan year and may range from 0% – 200% of target. Targets are subject to change in subsequent plan years.
