The Finance division at BCBST is looking to add an Accounting Analyst to our team. This role provides a variety of financial preparation services to the organization, including record keeping, reporting, analysis, etc. The role will be responsible for, but not limited to, employee benefit accounting, account reconciliations, and incentive payments. The role requires someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and a self-starter/proactive learner. Ideal candidates will have public accounting experience and be a CPA or working toward CPA certification. Employee benefit accounting experience is a plus.

Job Responsibilities

• Designing, developing and preparing accurate and timely financial statements, reporting and analysis.
• Identifying and researching trends and developments.
• Leading special projects and ad-hoc reporting requests.
• Collaborating with others identifying process improvements.

Job Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent work experience is required. Equivalent work experience would be 4 years of experience in related field.

Experience

• 3 years - Work experience in an accounting/financial position is required.
• Weighted equivalent years of relevant work experience - 1 year experience in public accounting = 2 years of applicable work experience

Skills\Certifications

• Demonstrated ability to effectively work with senior leadership teams
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or function in a team environment sharing responsibility, roles and accountability.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
• Proficient oral and written communication skills
• Proficient interpersonal and organizational skills
• Must be a team player, be organized and have the ability to handle multiple projects
• Strong analytical skills
• Proven priority-setting and project management skills
