      Join our team! We are looking for an Accounting Analyst to join Thomson Reuters Latin America General Accounting Operations (AO) located in San Jose (Heredia), Costa Rica. The AO is a key element of the company's strategy to leverage best practices, support future acquisitions and growth, and streamline processes and activities across the organization and the world to return value to our customers by becoming more effective and efficient. This position is responsible for performing accounting activities such as balance sheet account reconciliations and open item resolution all regions on a monthly basis and partners with other departments to leverage systems and resources.

      About the Role:
      In this opportunity as an Accounting Analyst, you will:

      • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all financial reports, including balance sheet, income statement, cash flow, and other relevant reports.
      • Perform daily tasks such as journal entry preparation, ledger maintenance, and monthly closing processes.
      • Collaborate with external auditors during the audit process.
      • Maintain adequate documentation of accounting processes and records.
      • Monitor and analyze financial trends to identify potential risks or opportunities.
      • Liaise with stakeholders across multiple departments to obtain necessary information and resolve issues related to accounting matters.
      • Assist with adherence to local regulatory requirements regarding tax compliance, labor laws, and corporate governance.


      About You
      You’re a fit for the role if your background includes:

      • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent experience.
      • Advanced knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
      • Experience working with financial systems such as Microsoft Dynamics GP, SAP HANA, or similar platforms.
      • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
      • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and identify trends.
      • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping.
      • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
      • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
      • Prior experience in a multinational company preferred.
      • Fluency in English and Spanish is essential.
      • 3-5 years of professional accounting experience with multi-national companies in the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and month-end close activities.
