      Description

      Fiddler’s Creek Golf Club in Naples, Florida is excited to announce the exceptional career opportunity of Accounting Admin Assistant. Qualified candidates will thrive in a hospitality environment and be highly focused on providing superior service to the clubs managed by Troon.

      Key Responsibilities of the Accounting Admin Assistant:

      • Adheres to all Troon Golf accounting standards.
      • Prepares daily, weekly, monthly, annual reports such as: Batch Reports, Cash Reports.
      • Reviews and processes invoices including updating the general ledger.
      • Reviews and processes expense reports.
      • Assists in the reconciliation of accounts payable and vendor statements.
      • Prepares accounts receivable statements.
      • Assists in performing daily revenue audits for revenue generating departments.
      • Assists with member inquiries and adjusts member accounts as approved.
      • Performs other duties as required.
      • Maintains club member statements, accounting records and filing systems as well as process daily mail.
      • Assists the Property Controller with month and year end close, preparing and reviewing various reports.

      Accounts Receivable

      • Process Member statements, including applying credit balances and interest where necessary
      • Print and Mail out statements
      • Handle Member inquiries and issues with billing
      • Process and post member and event payments in Jonas
      • Run Auto Pay monthly for members who have signed up for auto pay
      • Set up Auto Pay for members
      • Cash pro banking- applying Lock Box payments to member statements
      • Process and post online “Plastiq” payments
      • ETS inquiries - research issues with credit card payments

      Daily Accounting transactions

      • Close out days in Jonas and record sales numbers in the DCRR excel
      • Oversee Bank bags / Event Bags / Petty Cash – counts daily F&B cash drops and logs deposits
      • Post monthly bill back charges to member accounts (Reciprocal clubs)
      • Assists in reconciling debit card transactions
      • Performs other duties as required.


      Minimum Qualifications for the Accounting Clerk:

      • Associate’s degree (AA) or equivalent; or six months to one year experience and/or training preferably in Hospitality; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

      Other Qualifications:

      • Experience with Microsoft Office applications especially Excel and Microsoft Outlook
      • Experience with Jonas Club Management software a plus (not required)
      • Ability to read and speak English
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
      • Strong time management and organizational skills
      • High attention to detail and accuracy
