      The Role:

      In this role you will be responsible for assisting the Statutory and Regulatory Reporting Managers with all areas of external reporting, including review and analysis of syndicate level reporting which is used for producing the aggregated financial result for the Lloyd’s Market, and the preparation of reporting for the consolidated Society of Lloyd’s group results. You will have the opportunity to liaise directly with the Market to provide guidance and will play an important role identifying and implementing process improvements.

      Principal Accountabilities:

      Preparation of Lloyd’s reporting under UK GAAP

      • Review the Quarterly Monitoring Returns – Part A (QMA) submitted by syndicates to assess compliance with UK GAAP and Lloyd’s guidance.

      • Analysis of financial information to identify queries required to be sent to managing agents, or to understand trends in the information reported into Lloyd’s.

      Preparation of Lloyd’s reporting under Solvency II Pillar 3

      • Review and analysis of syndicate Pillar 3 submissions (QSR/ASR and QAD/AAD).

      • Analysis of financial information to identify queries required to be sent to managing agents, or to understand trends in the information reported into Lloyd’s.

      • Assisting in the preparation of Lloyd’s Pillar 3 submissions to the PRA at Lloyd’s and syndicate level.

      Driving the financial reporting requirements for the Lloyd’s Market

      • Providing guidance to the Lloyd’s Market for the preparation of financial returns (QMA, QSR/ASR, QAD/AAD, QF1/AF1) – this involves professionally communicating with managing agents and helping resolve queries, as well as providing appropriate guidance and instructions, in a timely manner.

      • Assisting in the development and testing of changes to returns/systems for collection of syndicate information.

      Skills

      • Self-motivated and ability work independently as well as part of a team.

      • Ability to manipulate, analyse and review large amounts of data.

      • Attention to detail.

      • Proficient in use of IT (in particular Microsoft Excel) with the ability to learn applications e.g. Business Objects.
