      Job Title: Associate Accountant

      Overview:

      We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Associate Accountant to join our finance team. This role is responsible for executing day-to-day accounting transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting various accounting functions including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, purchasing, and general ledger activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate across departments to resolve issues and ensure compliance.

      Key Responsibilities:

      • Verify the accuracy of incoming and outgoing invoices and other financial documents
      • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable in accordance with company policies
      • Process payroll and maintain employee data using ADP
      • Oversee purchasing activities from requisition through vendor submission to reconciliation
      • Reconcile financial records and assist with month-end closing procedures
      • Compile and prepare financial reports and documentation
      • Support internal controls and outsourced accounting services as needed
      • Assist with annual third-party audits and financial reviews
      • Contribute to onboarding and offboarding processes as assigned
      • Support activities related to employee benefits, 401(k), and corporate insurance
      • Monitor transactions for accuracy and potential fraud, reporting any discrepancies
      • Ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies and procedures
      • Perform other duties and reporting tasks as assigned

      Required Skills & Qualifications:

      • High school diploma required; college-level accounting coursework preferred
      • Minimum 5 years of accounting experience in public or private companies ($20M–$200M revenue); 10+ years preferred
      • Experience in the manufacturing industry is a plus
      • Proficiency in financial software; Sage or MAS preferred
      • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, accounts payable/receivable, and general ledger
      • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
      • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks

      Pay and Benefits

      The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
