Job Description

- Review /Verify banking activities and report Cash and Investment account balances
- Investigate and follow up on queries with the bank or with Operations' area
- Prepare/Update Peoplesoft and Mainframe entries
- Prepare bank transfers, EFT and wire payments
- Release electronic deposit files to the bank
- Record bank activities in the General Journal (Peoplesoft)
- Prepare monthly reconciliations
- Verify and download internal reports relating to bank activities
- Distribute/Replenish Petty cash
- Backup to Ops Accounting Clerk 2 (PFSLC)
- Perform other duties as required
- High School Diploma or equivalent work experience
- Basic knowledge of accounting
- High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and confidentiality
- Excellent data entry skills
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Effective organizational and time management skills
- Demonstrates a sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently or as a team member in a fast-paced and high-volume environment
- Must be well organized and a self-starter
