      Job Title: Accounting Close - Entity Close UK - AVP

      Location: Manila

      Corporate Title: Assistant Vice President

      Accounting Control ensures all transactions are correctly accounted for and provides a golden source financial information data set upon which all internal and external reporting is based.

      Your key responsibilities

      • Member of Entity Close UK Team looking after the Financial Reporting of Special Purpose Entities

      • Provide status reports around month-end close activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of submission to stakeholders

      • Engage with the internal stakeholders such as Onshore Country Finance, Business Finance and various project teams on issues escalation and support needed

      • Performs Extended Quality Assurance / V&C on outputs delivered by the team and conduct regular assessment on the reliability of QA checks performed by the Senior Associate

      • Identify and participate in efficiency and effectiveness improvements via continuous process improvement and implementing global/regional initiatives

      • Ensure strong control environment by upholding compliance to standards, internal controls and best practices

      • Execution of operational plans set by the Operations Manager

      • Escalates highly critical or high risk issues to Operations Manager and responds to stakeholder feedback.

      Qualifications:

      • Experience in financial / regulatory / statutory reporting or audit

      • At least intermediate knowledge in MS Applications

      • Knowledge of IFRS and GAAP

      • Excellent communication skills, fluent in English (written/verbal)

      • Strong analytical and decision making abilities

      • Strong control mindset

      • Ability to influence others and move towards a common vision or goal

      Your skills and experience

      • Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, or its Business-related equivalents with accounting courses
      • Being a CPA holder is an advantage
      • Relevant experience gained either in Accounting or Audit. You will need to possess a basic understanding of Accounting, bank products (Debt, Equities, Derivatives), and credit risk concepts.
      • Combined analytical and problem solving skills.
      • A team player who is collaborative yet able to work independently.
