Position: Accounting Controller
Location: Malmö
Job type: Full time, permanent
The impact you will have
As part of the distribution hub controlling team based in Malmö you will be responsible for inventory and COGS controlling of warehouses in the Netherlands and in Poland.
In the position as an Accounting controller you will define and maintain standard cost prices, analyze variances and that the inventory is correctly valued, including obsolescence provisioning and stock counting. You will provide accurate and efficient financial analysis to management and operations. The accounting controller reports to Finance Director HQ.
As Accounting Controller you will be responsible for:
• Preparing and executing standard cost update on a yearly basis. Including alignment with master data, procurement and other functions
• Inventory controlling and valuation including obsolescence provisioning, stock counting and scrapping
• Freight cost analysis and periodic accruals
• Purchase Price variance analysis together with Procurement.
• Group reporting on monthly basis according to financial guidelines
• Monthly closing activities; post journals, reconcile accounts
• Prepare monthly business review report for management
• Budget and forecast of inventory levels
You will be a subject matter expert in the intercompany goods flow in Arjo Group and as such provide expertise and support to operations to ensure consistency and compliance. You will have many contact points in multiple countries around the Arjo Group.
Travel is not required.
The skills you will need
A proven track record with an in-depth working knowledge within the field of production controlling. You have an entrepreneurial mind-set and work in an independent and proactive way with determination and integrity. You are also service minded and well organized with a positive attitude and a high ability to work under pressure and with challenging deadlines.
You will need to have the following qualifications:
• University degree in business administration or equivalent
• 3-5 years’ work experience in similar position
• Excellent analytical skills and knowledge of standard cost accounting
• Experience from manufacturing and international goods flows
• Advanced Excel and ERP understanding is required
• Experience in M3 and Cognos Controller is a plus
• Advanced Swedish and English, verbal and writing
• Strong attention to detail in all deliverables
