      Leading Oil and Gas distributor company is looking for an accounting intern to support the timely preparation of external reports filed with the SEC, including the quarterly Form 10-Q and Annual Report on Form 10-K. All employees in the department must maintain the confidentiality of all financial information obtained during the rotation and employment with the company. The internship will be a part/full time workload + overtime as needed during quarter closes. Classes will be worked around, however the individual should expect to work late for approx. 3 weeks during quarter close.

      ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

      • Assist with the preparation of Consolidated Financial Statements, Notes and MD&A
      • Assist with the preparation of FX analysis
      • Perform basic audit tie-outs, inquiries, sampling and testing
      • Demonstrate knowledge of administrative procedures such as managing files and records
      • Attention to detail, fast learner, and a business attitude
      • Work in a fast-paced environment with key deadlines
      • Other duties may be assigned as needed

      REQUIREMENT

      • Accounting degree. Prefer student has completed Intermediate Accounting and Audit classes
      • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
      • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
      • Effective communication
      • Availability to work overtime during critical quarter-end month
