      Position Description:

      Goodyear’s North America Controlling team is seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to join a dynamic team and lead the closing activities as well as internal reporting and external reporting in support of our company owned retail business. Additionally, you will provide GAAP and policy guidance to our product business units and subsidiaries as well as oversight to the NAT US Accounting activities. Accounting and reporting activities, and the US account reconciliation and the financial close will also be a part of this role as well as various system integrations. Thoughtful contribution to overall process improvement is highly desired.

      Principal Responsibilities:

      • Manage NAT closing and reporting processes to satisfy internal and external customers by providing timely and accurate financial information. Provide in depth analysis on NAT's financials for NAT and Goodyear management
      • Directly responsible for NAT's accounting consolidation process
      • Ensure relevant business process controls and processes are documented and tested and that no unmediated control gaps exist
      • Advise business operational functions, PBUs and subsidiaries on implementation of new processes and their impact on NAT's financials. Provide process improvement as needed.
      • Hire and develop associates by transferring knowledge of operations, financial concepts and business issues.

      Required Experience and Education:

      • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Management.
      • A minimum of 7 years of accounting and/or financial analysis experience (preferably in a large corporate or Public Accounting firm)
      • Cross functional experience in various financial roles, including both corporate and operational finance.
      • Experience with leading teams through complex processes, projects, and process improvements.
      • Manufacturing financial experience is preferred.

      Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

      • MBA, MA and / or CPA Desired
      • Analytical and technical skills including financial modeling and forecasting, working capital, financial statements, cost analysis, planning, MBOM, AOP, variance analysis, reporting, P&L.
      • Established business acumen, leadership skills, and building organizational capabilities.
      • Demonstrated knowledge of computer systems: Microsoft Office Products, (especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
