      What you will be doing

      The National Accounting Services Center has an opening for a Manager of Accounting in the Retail Banking Department.

      This position is located in the National Services Center in Phoenix, AZ.

      Main responsibilities

      • Manage the daily operations of the banking departments corporate and retail bank activities

      Review account reconciliations to ensure accuracy of Cash Ledger data to Bank Statement data for all cash balance sheet accounts
      • Manage compliance for Abandoned Property filing and reporting, including audits.
      • Manage relationships with all banks handling ACI funds
      • Oversee the accounting entries for all incoming and outgoing funds for ACI bank accounts.
      • Train, motivate, lead and develop department staff
      • Identify areas of opportunity to enhance proficiency in departmental processes
      • Manage conversion of newly acquired divisions in to NASC
      • Review and insure accuracy of expense, asset, liability and clearing accounts assigned to the section
      • Maintain compliance with appropriate internal controls and procedures
      • Work with auditing firms on internal/external audits and Sarbanes-Oxley testing
      • Work with other departments and banks in the handling of check stop payments/cancellations
      • Communicate with staff in other departments, divisions, stores and vendor partners to resolve issues
      • Interview, hire and develop associates

      What we are searching for

      Qualifications:

      • 4 year college degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration. MBA and/or CPA preferred
      • Banking experience desired
      • Minimum of 4 years’ in a supervisory or lead role
      • Minimum of 5 years’ in accounting within a large organization.
      • Knowledge of Oracle and ReconNet
      • Good theoretical and practical knowledge of GAAP.
      • Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines
      • Advanced level PC skills with knowledge of databases, Windows and Microsoft Office products.
      • High degree of initiative, accuracy and adaptability.
      • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
      • Honest and trustworthy, exhibiting the strongest business ethics
      • Excellent interpersonal skills and desire to be a team player
