Financial Reporting & Close Management:
Manage and execute monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes efficiently.
Prepare and rigorously review financial statements in compliance with GAAP/IFRS.
Ensure all accounting records are accurate, complete, and timely.
Team Leadership & Development:
Supervise, mentor, and foster the professional growth of our US and Philippines-based accounting teams.
Assign and review work to ensure high-quality output and adherence to standards.
Provide comprehensive training and guidance to continuously improve team performance.
Accounting Operations & Control:
Maintain the chart of accounts, ensuring proper transaction coding.
Reconcile balance sheet accounts meticulously and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
Coordinate annual audits seamlessly with external auditors.
Ensure strict compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
Maintain and continuously enhance internal financial controls to safeguard assets.
Identify opportunities for and implement process efficiencies within the accounting function.
Support enhancements to our ERP and other financial systems.
Financial Analysis & Strategic Partnership:
Support the annual budget preparation and periodic forecasting processes.
Analyze variances between actual financial results and budget, providing insightful explanations.
Monitor cash flow, perform accurate bank reconciliations, and oversee treasury activities.
Partner effectively with departments such as IT, Operations, and HR to meet evolving business needs.
Deliver actionable financial insights to support critical decision-making across the organization.
Expertise In:
Deep knowledge of US GAAP (or IFRS where applicable) and a strong understanding of Philippines accounting and payroll regulations.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks Online, Stripe, Ramp, etc.).
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis).
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
High attention to detail with an unwavering commitment to accuracy.
Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and concisely.
Proven leadership and team-building capabilities.
Experience with process documentation and the implementation/maintenance of robust internal controls.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
5–8 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
