- Lead and mentor accounts payable, accounts receivable, and accounting.
- Review the financial work for the main business and seven smaller companies.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial statements.
- Oversee month-end and year-end close processes.
- Prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Monitor and review monthly reports to ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate year-end audits and ensure timely completion.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations as well as internal policies.
- Manage cash flow and oversee cash management activities.
- Handle accounting inquiries and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Support the implementation of new accounting processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 5+ years of accounting experience with at least 2 years in a managerial/leading experience.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and financial analysis.
- Bachelors degree required in Accounting, Finance, or a related study.

Job Title: Sr. Accountant
Job Description
The Sr. Accountant will oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, ensuring the accurate preparation of financial statements and reports in compliance with accounting standards and company policies. The goal of this position is to grow an individual into the Accounting Manager. The position is based in Hammond, IN and reports to the CFO.
