- Position Summary
- Prepares financial statements and reports and supervises the work of accounting staff and support staff. Provides information, reports and assistance to corporate managers and external auditors.

- Work Experience
- Three years of accounting experience required.
- Previous supervisory experience preferred.

Education- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.

Certifications/Licensure- CPA or CMA preferred.

- Directs the department(s) financial performance and operational budget.
- Analyzes costs, develops programs to assure compliance with budgetary constraints and provides justifications for budget variances.
- Plans for the ongoing and future capital needs of the department with necessary analysis and documentation.

- Job Specific Performance Standards

- Reviews, examines and approves entries for general ledger for accuracy and compliance with established accounting procedures and policies.
- Prepares and supervises accounting staff in the preparation of operating reports and financial statements and reviews financial statements for accuracy before release to management.
- Reviews monthly financial information, analyzes accounts, prepares supporting schedules and financial statements, issues financial reports to operating managers and reviews operating results with department heads.
- Prepares reports for use by management, including cash forecasts and cash flow analysis.
- Identifies inaccuracies in information processed and prepares the needed corrections and adjustments to ensure the accuracy of the statements.
- Identifies and addresses specific problems arising from inquiries from staff and management and displays and communicates with those making inquiries.
- Consults, advises and answers routine questions and problems raised by accounting staff.
- Coordinates and supervises the daily work of accountants and accounting support staff.
