Job Description

- Develop road map for the accounts payable team as a tool to lead, empower and support the development of the team
- Provide leadership, coaching, and development opportunities for the accounts payable team
- Identify opportunities for process improvement in accounts payable, taxes, business license renewals and audits
- Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver on CorePower company priorities
- Hire and lead a two person accounts payable team
- Manage weekly check run and ensure all vendors are paid timely
- Manage integration of the Netsuite accounting platform and the Bill.com vendor payment application
- Identify areas for accounts payable process improvement
- Ensure accounts payable internal controls are defined and followed
- Ensure all assigned G/L accounts are reconciled on a monthly basis
- Act as point of contact and project manager for all tax related audits
- Collaborate with Operations and Facilities teams on new studio opening tasks
- Ensure sales tax is being accurately charged in the CorePower point of sale software and remitted via the Avalara platform
- Ensure local tax returns are filed on time and accurately. Respond to taxing authorities on all discrepancies identified.
- Collaborate with legal and real estate teams on business licenses and other studio level licensing/permitting requirements
- Work with Engie and landlords to ensure all utilities are properly set up and paid
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
- 8+ years of accounting experience, preferably in multi-unit operating company.
- Familiarity with financial systems and tools, such as Netsuite, Bill.com, Spreadsheet Server and SmartSheet.
- Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized and detail oriented
- Highly-driven and self-motivated including curiosity to learn & expand skillset.
- Ambitious, and passionate leader that has a high level of emotional intelligence and self-awareness, ability to work well with others including team and cross-functional departments
- Demonstrated cross-functional project management skills

ROLE SUMMARY
The Accounting Manager will be responsible for leading the accounts payable team, all aspects of tax compliance including personal property tax, sales & use tax and local tax. This position will work closely with the Assistant Controller and the financial reporting team to complete month-end close and annual audit tasks and with our Operations teams to facilitate communication on various initiatives.
