- Oversee all Accounts Payable duties
- Work to reconcile accounting inaccuracies or imbalances
- Assist with creating financial statements including monthly financial reports
- Assist DOF with budgeting/forecasting
- Assist with bank reconciliations
- Ensuring all accounting practices follow legal guidelines and established accounting principles
- Assisting with billing and tax documentation preparation
- Working with the company financial team to create internal controls and policies
- Identifying solutions to discrepancies in financial records
- Assist DOF and GM with various assignments as needed
- Collaborate with other resort departments
- Must currently live in or near the Key West area.
- Must be able to speak, read, write, and communicate in English to adequately perform the duties of the job.
- Strong knowledge of hotel accounting principles and practices.
- Ability to investigate and analyze discrepancies.
- Ability to make decisions based on established policies and procedures and guidance from the DOF.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize daily workload.
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive material with the utmost discretion and confidentiality.
- Must be energetic, a self-starter, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be detail-oriented and able to work both independently and with a team.
- Must be effective in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.
- Must be able to show initiative, including anticipating operational needs.
- Must be able to maintain standards of attendance and punctuality and must be able to work varying schedules that include extended hours as business dictates.
- An Associate (A.A.) college degree and two years of related experience.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

The Accounting Manager supports the company’s financial team in all financial matters by working with the Director of Finance and other officers to set up control systems and manage company financial records. The Accounting Manager works to ensure that their company’s accounting and financial processes are in legal compliance and in accordance with best accounting practices.
