- Key contributor to prepare accurate and timely monthly financial statements by the assigned deadlines.
- Prepare global monthly journal entries such as credit card and payroll.
- Complete Balance Sheet account reconciliations and P&L analysis with appropriate supporting documentation.
- Review journal entries and accounts reconciliations as assigned.
- Review financial statement trends and propose adjustments, explain variances.
- Work closely with the Accounts Payable team for invoice, payment, and accrual accuracy.
- Assist in the preparation of various monthly reports for the management team including Chargebacks.
- Assist with gathering supporting documents related to audit, review and tax engagements.
- Resolve and communicate account discrepancies.
- Assist with obtaining support for audits and tax engagements.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- 4-6 years of experience as senior accountant or manager.
- 4-6 years of experience as G/L accountant.
- Experience with Skilled Nursing Facility preferred.
- Great Plains experience preferred.
- Proficiency at the intermediate concepts of accounting.
- Computer Literacy with emphasis in Word, Advanced Excel, Outlook.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail oriented and organized.
- Project oriented and ability to plan and manage workload on own.
- Able to work independently.
- Team player with a willingness to help with anything to get the job done.
Job Title: Accounting Manager
Location: Santa Monica, CA
Pay: $95,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
As the Accounting Manager for the Shared resources team, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and timely financial statements. You will be supporting the Assistant Controller and Accounting Director by preparing shared journal entries, account reconciliations and reviewing staff assignments.
