      Join our team at Great Lakes Management as an Accounting Manager! This role supervises our Multi-family accounting team and is responsible for overseeing monthly financial statement production and related accounting functions for the multi-family properties we manage.


      Essential Responsibilities:

      • Responsible for reviewing assigned accounting team’s monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements/reports for managed properties.
      • Assist CFO with preparation of annual audit/tax materials for managed properties.
      • Responsible for maintaining appropriate accounting software systems.
      • Responsible for hiring, training, and supervising assigned accounting team staff.
      • Responsible for establishing and maintaining systems and internal controls that verify the integrity of all systems, processes and data in collaboration with fellow Accounting Manager and CFO.
      • Participate in a variety of special projects and compile a variety of special reports.
      • Responsible for reviewing/approving payments generated by AP for assigned accounting team.
      • Responsible for overseeing preparation of annual 1099s for vendors for team’s assigned properties
      • Responsible for overseeing the preparation of annual CAM reconciliations and monthly invoices for commercial/retail tenants for team’s assigned properties.

      Qualifications:

      • Bachelor’s degree required, with emphasis on accounting and finance.
      • 5+ years of related work experience; Real Page software experience helpful.
      • Strong general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable knowledge.
      • Knowledge of office practices, procedures, systems and equipment.
      • Proficient computer skills, including operating a Windows-based environment, spreadsheets, word processing, etc.
      • Possess a high level of problem solving and investigative skills.
      • Able to remain calm and objective in unusual and sometimes sensitive or stressful situations.
      • Able to work with a minimum of supervision (must be highly motivated and self-directed).
      • Understand and adhere to organizational policies and procedures.
      • Appropriately maintain financial and other confidential information
      • Experience in Property Management is required.


      Job Details:

      • Hours: Full-time, Monday – Friday
      • Pay: $95,000 - $120,000
      • Location: 12755 Highway 55, Plymouth, MN 55441
