JOB SUMMARY :
Under the direction of the Assistant Controller, this position will oversee accounting operations and reporting, and will collaborate with other finance leaders in the areas of, but not limited to: payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable other general financial areas. Provides technical accounting knowledge, accounting system (Intacct) oversight, and helps to ensure the integrity of financial information. Assists in the development, implementation, and maintenance of company policies, controls, and processes. Acts as a key point of contact for Operations in the provision of timely, accurate services to external and internal customers at all levels.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
1. Manages the period end accounting close process and provides information supporting the monthly GAAP financial package for internal and external reporting. 2. Supports the external audit, tax compliance, licensing and insurance administration with a high attention to meeting deadlines and the accuracy of deliverables.
3. Responsible for daily cash management and various banking functions. 4. Oversight of monthly balance sheet reconciliations, to ensure timeliness of completion and accuracy of accounting records. 5. Maintains real-time controls processes and procedures, implementing new controls where applicable, and supports control owners in the effective operation of their controls.6. Works closely with FP&A function to support budgeting, cash forecasting, and variance analysis7. Works to evaluate reporting landscape and seeks opportunities for enhancements and mechanisms for improved operational excellence.8. Works closely with Procurement function as it relates to repairs and maintenance expenses and capex, with emphasis on maintaining spend levels within budget.9. Works closely with other finance functions and Operations, with significant involvement with AR, Payroll, and AP. 10. Supports acquisition due diligence and integration efforts.11. Establishes and maintains good working relationships with all levels of management and key stakeholders. Coordinates accounting matters with other departments.12. Develops policies and procedures to support the organization’s operational objectives.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS :
• Requires strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Standards. • Requires thorough knowledge of general accounting practices and period close best practices, applying professional judgment, and expecting the same of team members. • Must have strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate a team, review work and provide timely feedback. • Must be able to decide how to allocate people, time and other resources to create, execute, and accomplish project plans on time and within budget. • Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills along with the ability to utilize the appropriate management techniques to plan, organize, control and coordinate activities.• Must be able to manage priorities in a dynamic environment and adapt to change quickly and positively. • Must demonstrate ability to be self-directed, as well as demonstrate excellent organizational, and interpersonal skills. • Must be able to work as a team member with peers, other managers, staff and leadership. • Must possess good customer service and oral/written communications skills, the ability to work with professionals and maintain confidentiality standards.• Requires the ability to read, write and speak effectively in English.
• Requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field; or an equivalent combination of training and progressively responsible experience that will result in the required specialized knowledge and abilities to perform the assigned work.
• Prefer certification as a Certified Public Accountant.
