      This is a remote position.

      Are you an experienced accounting leader who thrives in a dynamic, client-focused environment? We are a growing professional services firm that provides outsourced accounting, controller, and financial consulting support to small and mid-sized businesses nationwide. We’re seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager who can lead a high-performing accounting team while driving operational excellence, innovation, and client satisfaction.


      About the Role:


      The Accounting Manager will oversee a team of accounting specialists and serve as a trusted partner to B2B clients across multiple industries. This role combines leadership, technical accounting oversight, and process optimization. You’ll ensure quality client service delivery, support operational goals, and help scale our growing organization.


      Key Responsibilities

      · Lead, train, and hold accountable a team of accounting professionals.

      · Oversee client onboarding, month-end close, financial reporting, and ongoing client relationship management.

      · Collaborate cross-functionally with tax and CFO/Controller service teams to ensure cohesive client delivery.

      · Maintain and enhance accounting policies, procedures, and documentation (SOPs).

      · Drive process improvements and automation to increase efficiency and accuracy.

      · Manage workload allocation, team development, and performance reviews.

      · Lead weekly team meetings and departmental initiatives.

      · Support client escalations and resolve accounting or workflow challenges.

      · Contribute to strategic planning and special projects as assigned.



      Requirements

      Qualifications

      · Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or advanced degree preferred.

      · Minimum 6 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role.

      · Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.

      · Experience in public accounting or outsourced accounting environments preferred.

      · Advanced QuickBooks experience required (certification a plus).

      · Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiar with collaboration/project management tools (e.g., Keeper, Liscio, etc.).

      · Exceptional organizational, communication, and leadership skills.

      · Demonstrated ability to mentor and motivate remote teams.
