      An Accounting Paraprofessional within our Dispute Claims & Investigations group is expected to have assignments in a variety of industries. Assignments may include forensic accounting, fraud investigations, damages calculations, and litigation-related projects. Most projects will typically result in the creation of financial damages models and exhibits in the healthcare industry. An Accounting Paraprofessional may also assist senior Stout professionals with articles, research projects, and other administrative responsibilities.

      Major Duties and Responsibilities:

      • Analyze financial, bank, and business records

      • Conduct records reconstruction

      • Conduct industry and technical research

      • Perform analysis utilizing general ledger software (i.e. Quickbooks)

      • Assist Marketing and local office employees with HubSpot Projects (data entry and management) when needed

      • Assist Marketing and local office employees with events/sponsorships

      Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

      • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

      • A strong work ethic, innovative thinking and a positive attitude

      • Excellent team player: work closely with teams firm-wide and demonstrate a positive team attitude and respect towards each other

      • Understanding of financial documents used in business operations and transactions

      • Ability to balance accounts

      • Strong Microsoft Office Suite Skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

      • Work product that reflects a high degree of accuracy

      • Reliable

      • Detail oriented

      • Strong organizational skills

      • Ability to multi-task

      • Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing situations

      • Ability to work in a fast paced environment necessary

      • Ability to work with changing client/court-imposed deadlines

      • Ability to interact in a professional manner with clients and employees

      • Must present professional appearance

      Education and/or Training:

      • Minimum 4 years relevant experience necessary

      • Experience working within a professional services firm a plus

      • Ability to clear Federal Government background check is required

      • Must be eligible to work in the US, without employer sponsorship, at the time of hire and in the future.
