      The Payroll department is currently seeking a payroll specialist I or II to perform payroll and tax duties to support the Payroll department. This position will report directly to the accounting director and perform many payroll functions including payroll software testing for a company that employs for more than 5,800 associates.

      The pay range for this position is $22 .00 - $30.00 hourly. The pay determination is based on the applicant’s education, experience, location, knowledge, skills, and abilities. Eligible associates may also receive an annual cash bonus and individual performance.

      Be ready to:

      • gain overall knowledge of bi-weekly payroll processing – including balancing timecards, payroll changes, run reports and organize information from other departments
      • conduct weekly data audits, resolve payroll issues, and correct errors accordingly
      • run reports to support business needs
      • run reports, create queries, and audit payroll data
      • assume special projects as requested
      • ensure compliance with internal pay policies and practices
      • answer associates’ payroll questions and facilitate timely resolutions to discrepancies
      • accurately process detail-oriented work
      • work overtime as needed

      Be equipped with:

      Bring education and experience from:

      • a minimum 5 years’ experience with in-house payroll for large corporation (required)
      • strong knowledge of payroll software and payroll processing (required)
      • ADP tax processing experience for multiple companies, states, and localities (preferred)
      • certified Payroll Professional designation or Fundamental Payroll Certification (preferred)
      • a bachelor’s degree in accounting (preferred)
      • knowledge of PeopleSoft HR (preferred)
